ATTRACTIONS
SPRING ATTRACTIONS
As winter snow melts, the river rushes high and flowers, like wild roses start to bloom. Spring is a great season for hiking, exploring nearby Boulder Cave, mushroom picking, taking snap-shots of nature or putting mud on your tires. Bring your mountain bike or 4 x 4 and head to the hills.
SUMMER ATTRACTIONS
The sun shines bright in the summer at Elk Ridge and the days are long. Sunbathe on the beach, dip your feet in the river or play a game of horseshoes. Fly-fishing on the river is optimal this time of year for the trout lover, and near-by Bumping Lake offers recreational water activities. A short walk from the campground you’ll run into Jim Sprick Community Park that hosts a playground for kids and yearly festivals like Nile Valley Days and Chinook Fest.
Summer is also is the perfect season to book an event like a wedding or family reunion in our meadow.
FALL ATTRACTIONS
Bring your hunting gear and head up into the hills during fall. The area is surrounded by deer, elk, grouse and many other types of wildlife. Take a scenic drive through the Yakima valley and tour some of the 80 plus local wineries. The leaves change color, the air turns brisk and there are plenty of opportunities for live, local music this time of year.
WINTER ATTRACTIONS
Winter brings snow to Elk Ridge, and although Chinook Pass closes for the season, we are open and accessible via Hwy 12 (White Pass) and I-90 (Snoqualamie Pass). Experience the serenity of the area after everything goes dormant, and view the wildlife that come down from higher elevations this time of year. Bring your snowmobile and head right across the street to a snow park entrance, or strap on your snow shoes and step right out your door to endless adventures. We are a 50 minute drive from White Pass ski resort and only 10 minutes away from getting hot drinks and home-style food at local establishments.
